Home Exhibition Take Part Visitors

St Peter's wishes to thank everyone who took part in this year's exhibition - see the Exhibition page for details

Welcome to the web page dedicated to St Peter's Church Art Exhibition which is being held in Church Langton, Leicestershire on 3rd-5th May, 2008. 11am -5pm.  This will be the fifth Art Exhibition which began in the year of the millennium. As part of the preparations for the 250th performance of Handel’s Messiah to be held in the Church in September 2009, artists have been asked to produce work inspired by music.

The exhibition will include different forms of art by artists from Leicestershire and Northamptonshire, including paintings, sculpture, ceramics and stained glass, but all will have a musical theme or be musically inspired and most works will be for sale.  Artists can take their inspiration from any kind of music - from classical to rap, jazz to stage shows - all is welcome!

We would also like to give local musicians the opportunity to play their chosen instruments in the church during the exhibitions. There is also an opportunity for experienced keyboard players to play our famous organ  which was installed for the Messiah of 1759.  If you are an artist or musician wishing to register your interest, please visit the 'Take Part' page. If you would like to visit the show, please click 'Visitors' page.
